Uzbek Community Center of San Francisco Bay Area (UCCSFBA):
Preserving Culture, Empowering Community
The Uzbek Community Center (UCCSFBA) in the Bay Area serves as a great hub for Uzbekistan's rich cultural heritage and its diaspora in the United States. At our center, we are dedicated to preserving and celebrating Uzbek traditions, fostering community cohesion, and empowering individuals to thrive in their new home.
In the heart of the Bay Area, our center stands as a beacon of Uzbek identity and solidarity while fostering a spirit of unity and cultural exchange.
The Youth Writing Workshop
The International Library of Youth Writing is hosting a no-cost writing workshop for students (grades 4th-9th) on Wednesday, August 20th at 4:30 p.m. We are a non-profit resource for your school and students and invite you, your students, and families to come as our guest. If you are not familiar with our programs we are a part of 826 Valencia and McSweeney's and are dedicated to supporting your efforts to inspire student writing. We offer free field trips year round as well as Self-Directed Saturdays. Click here to register for the writing workshop: RSVP Writing Workshop.
Please share this invitation with your families and encourage them to attend. The first 30 students to RSVP will get a personal copy of Snowball and Me as a gift. This book features cultural exchange and the workshop will support student writing about family stories and traditions.
